Stranmillis

In common with many of the congregations within the EPC we were established in 1927.

In common with many of the congregations within the EPC we were established in 1927.

In 1930 the congregation rented church premises in Botanic Avenue from the Reformed Presbyterian Church and, a few years later, purchased this building as the permanent home for the work and witness of the church. Due to proposed redevelopment plans we had to move from Botanic Avenue in 1971, to our current site on the Stranmillis Road. In September 2018 we were thankful to God that we were able to open a new building on this site, which we hope to use to his glory.

We are a congregation of around 130 people, comprised of a wide range of ages. As a church with a witness in the University area, we are blessed to have a good number of students who worship with us during term times, and enrich the fellowship of our church. The members and adherents of the church are drawn from a wide geographical area but come together on the Stranmillis site to reach out with the gospel to the many people from different nations who live in South Belfast.

Where to find us

We are situated on the corner of the Stramillis Road and Pretoria Street. Unfortunately we do not have a church car-park – we typically park on the Stranmillis Road, or the streets which surround the church.
